RULES & REGULATIONS

 

  1. There will be a $1.00 entry fee per goat

  2. CT. Goats must have a USDA - approved identification and a health certificate issued within 60 days of their first show from an accredited veterinarian stating that the animals are in good health and not showing signs of infectious, contagious and/or communicable diseases and not from scrapie-exposed herds.

  3. All exhibitors must wear show whites whenever animals are being shown.

  4. All animals must have been owned by exhibitor by July 1, 2006 with the exception of kids born into exhibitor’s herd. No animal under one month old may be shown,  

  5. Age of animals will be determined as of date of show. Exhibitor’s age will be determined as of January 1st, 2007.

  6. Exhibitors must furnish own feed, hay and bedding.

  7. All exhibitors must send a copy of health papers. 

  8. Goats must be entered in Junior or Senior departments, not both.  

  9. Where there is no competition, the judge will award ribbons and prize money as he or she sees fit.

  10. No more than 12 Goats per farm or family.

  11. Entries will be closed after all pens are filled.

G7 Milking Doe: 5+ years

G8 Best Sr. Doe in Breed

G9 Daughter and Dam

G10 Best three does: One entry per exhibitor

G11 PeeWee Fitting and Showmanship: Under 7 years

G12 Novice Fitting and Showmanship: First year showman, any age

G13 Jr. Fitting and Showmanship: Ages 7-13
